Ron great Pub Ignore all the previous comments, this is a great pub as of 31/03/2010. Get in on a Fri, Sat,Sun for some great music. Ok small dance floor but its cosy. Good selection of Real Ales, bit pricey but a changing selection. Very busy on the above nights. I was really excited when it was up for lease as i thought that the manager at the time would take over. Since the new owners have taken over i feel the standards have taken a tumble and the quality of both ale and customers have done the same. Won't go in now. I'll have to wait for the next owners. Thursday, December 14, 2006 Rating: No rosettes Big Stan Worth a Visit This compact pub is situated in the City centre, popular with office workers and shoppers during the day and busy at the weekends. Excellent real ales, changing frequently. The bar staff often amuse, not sure if this is deliberate though. Sunday, March 12, 2006 Rating: rosettes Darren Nice Local A nice pub in the town centre and one of my locals. Busy when bands are playing the guidhall and on Saturday when there is a Soul Night. But I can't belive somebody thinks the chef is hot! I think you must be mistaken with somebody working behind the bar. Sunday, February 27, 2005 Rating: rosettes jolene blallock The best pub in town Very relaxing establishment, though thoroughly exciting. Great beer and the best food i've had anywhere in a long time. A must go. the chef was so hot i nearly orgasmed on the spot.
