Raw and uncooked food, Landlady rude and unprofessional.Great place if you like poor microwaved food and being charged for extra dishes that you had to send back.

Party of five having two courses on 8th June.

Roast Chicken was raw and bloody.

Poorly cooked freezer chips still hard in middle

Steak & ale pie turned out to be full of tomatoes!

Could clearly hear shouting in kitchen when chicken meal was returned, making insulting remarks.

The chicken was then brought back to table claiming it was properly cooked. Was rejected again with even more screaming from kitchen.

Requested an alternative meal instead of inedible chicken, but management insisted on charging for both, despite over £100 bill.

just got onto this site and saw the remark by Mrs Dale about her night at the lodge me and my husband have spent a few nights camping at this pub and cant understand why the toilet lights were switched of unless there was a problem with the switch as we have alwys had plent of light when we have stayed.
the food has always been of a very high standard and if there has been a problem then the landlord has always put it right straight away. we will go backagin to camp

Having just returned from a camping weekend at The White Lodge, I must say that I was a little disappointed. The mussels on the menu had been badly microwaved and were chewy, and the steak was small and average for £17.00. Although the toilets were left open at night, the landlord switched off the lights so you were in total darkness. This is not somewhere I would wish to stay over again for the night.

JUST BEEN DOWN TO THIS PUB TO SEE MICK THE BAKER SINGING A LITTLE BIT QUITE IN NUMBERS BUT STILL HAD A GOOD NIGHT THE NEW LANDLORDS ARE REALLY GREAT HOSTS AND ALWAYS HAVE TIME TO TALK TO YOU, A BIT MORE SURPORT ON NOT JUST THE MUSIC NIGHTS WOULD REALLY HELP TO KEEP THIS REALLY NICE PUB GOING KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK TERRY AND CAROL AND LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING A LOT MORE OF YOU BOTH

The white lodge has currently been taken over (at last). The new owners are trying their best to get the pub back on track. There food is really good and the atmostphere is great. Also they have brought back the live bands oon thursday nights. I recomend a vist if you where put of by pam, completly differeent
