Super!!
I visited the Nags Head on Sunday evening (01/08/2010).
I ordered the 14oz Mixed Platter. It was delicious. All meats were cooked to perfection, the rump was especially nice. The meal took a while to arrive but everything looked frshly cooked....no 'ding ding' food here.
My girlfriend had the Calun Chicken & Ribs. There were no complaints about the meal and the plate was empty at the end of the meal. She was provided with a finger bowl for the ribs which is something that I've never seen in a pub before. :-)
The desert menu was fantastic, it took my girlfriend ages to decide what she wanted and we weren't dissapointed. The desert was fab, very well presented and tasted beautiful.
Overall we were very impressed, the decor was quite nice, the service from the staff was outstanding (although this was a quiet time) and I cant fault them at all. I left with a full stomach, a lighter wallet and a happy girlfriend.
I will definately be returning to the Nags Head.
Thank you.
