An Excellent Public House (Near the Castle) A Great Range of Ales + Moorhouses to Choose From, and 10 mins walk from Train Stn.Very Nice and well worth a Visit.

Always a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Always a good selection of beers. Live impromptu music nights most Fridays.

A great pub

Don't be put off by the unprepossessing exterior. Inside you find what an English town pub is all about. Five rooms (log fires in winter) and about six different and always excellent beers, including Moorhouse and Phoenix. Typical prices (£2 a pint) for the area. TV football in one room for them as likes it, otherwise no piped music and no food. In other words, go there to drink!!

Looks small on entry but has about 5 different rooms most with open fires in winter,
Good beer at reasonable prices (usualy Moorhouses) and overlooked by Clitheroe castle open 11-11 weekdays
