About the Pub
Where would you like to be on a cold winters evening? Next to a roaring fire in a cosy pub with good banter and a great pint of real ale? Then it has to be The Grapes Inn! The fire is situated in the centre of the pub with a small bar area on one side and a larger dining room on the other. To one side of the main door there is a small games room with pool table and large screen t.v. There are always 3 or 4 guest beers, 2 ciders, the usual lagers and wine on tap. Locally sourced produce such as Reg's Goosnargh chicken are used. There is a large function room available upstairs for a nominal charge and outside there is a bowling green and patio area. Wednesday night is 'curry night' with a free glass of beer or wine with your order. Friday night is 'Pizza night' which comes with a free garlic bread. Thursday is 'quiz night' which includes a free supper. This is a children and dog friendly pub.

Outstanding
I visited this pub on Sunday 30th October 2011 at around 5.30pm for dinner with some friends. As we went in we were welcomed by the very polite landlord behind the bar and the pub was decorated with halloween decore which was very attractive! After ordering our drinks we sat down and was welcomed by the Landlady who gave us the menus and pointed out the Sunday Menu and the specials board.... there was a very big variety of dishes to choose from. The pub was very busy, with all the dining tables full and people in the other side of the pub, but we were still served very quickly. I ordered a roast chicken dinner from the Sunday Menu and my friends ordered from the main menu. The chicken was lovely and the overall sunday roast was very nice. Some of my friends had special requests and these were catered to, to a very high standard. The waitress was very polite and was always available if needed. Once we had finished we ordered a dessert which was lovely! My friends throughly enjoyed the night, the atmosphere, the staff and the overall experience was extremely pleasant and I would recommend this pub to anyone! Thank you!
