Excellent beer and excellent food
Four Shepherd Neame ales on offer and the best pub food I can remember eating.

If I lived in Canterbury I would certainly become a regular here.

Best Looking Staff In Town!!!
The pub itself is a microcosm for indulgence. Elegantly decorated, the White Hart gleams with charm and Kentish hospitality. The delicacies served up by the articulate chef were delectable and speak volumes of his attention to detail. Not to be outdone the ales flowed with a certain richness before unexperienced by my now enlightened taste buds. Whilst relishing the delights of the pub, I found myself conversing with the landlord. A very agreeable gentleman, blessed with diverse wisdom, demonstrated first hand his passion for hospitality and service. On a slight detour I stumbled upon what has to be the most eloquent garden this side of Leeds Castle. The garden itself, bordered by an effulgent array of roses and British natives, houses a bespoken bat and trap pitch of exceptional quality. I was lucky enough to spy the ending of a light hearted and friendly match in which the pubs own champion team heroically triumphed. As i ventured back indoors, i was greeted by candlelit tables and two barmaids of unparalleled persona and beauty. After perusing the multi-national wine list, I headed for the doors and with a heartfelt cheerio from a table of affable locals was on my way with a new found sense of affection for what is now 'the local'. I strongly recommend without hesitation the Whit Hart. It's extensive menu and wine list make it the perfect setting for a gathering with friends, a romantic dinner, or a way to impress a bird for a quick shag.

Waste of time
If you want to waste both time and money, come to this pub. Our food took ages to arrive and when it did it was cold. The landlord was extremely rude to us when we mentioned it and it took ages for hotter food to arrive. The ale also tasted like it was off. We won't be bothering with this place again.

Fantastic!!
The food served in this pub is amazing and the landlord and landlady make you feel extremely welcome. There is a beautiful beer garden at the rear and a good crowd of friendly locals. Highly recommended!

Mr Harry S Jameson
Canterbury's Best Pub
Incredible pub with very hospitable landlord and friendly staff. Lots of papers, a nice warm fire and good tables which is always important I find.

Best pub food in Canterbury, espescially if you like meat. And beer. They have some good beer.

Full of charm and an eccentric bunch of locals its a truel great little pub.

In summer its a dream come true. Pimms is the way forward and the garden is an absolute joy!

Can't recommend it enough!

BAD experience.
Landlord is VERY rude and hates children. I definitely won't be going here again and would not recommend it to anyone visiting Canterbury.
