Best Pub around Ely and Newmarket

The Merry Monk provides a wonderful atmosphere in which to sample some of the best food and cooking for some miles in the region. Wonderfully presented, tasty local food is served without pretension by a friendly unobtrusive staff. The chef's interest in making sure that your meal is satisfactory is welcome but not distracting. The a la carte menu is varied and interesting, while the Sunday carvery leaves you feeling very sunday-ish and in need of your sofa for a pleasant post prandial snooze! Highly recommended. the best!

Beautiful surroundings and the nicest food i have ever tasted. The best steak i have ever had and the most gorgeous pork with Madeira sauce. I have visited there nearly every week since discovering it!

It's a must!!!
