This establishment is pure quality. Fantastic setting, professional and friendly staff, well kept beers and first rate food at very reasonable prices where all the food is produced in house. This is a must for anybody who enjoys quality.

Lovely Setting
Traditional and modern non-smoking restaurant areas - friendly and helpful staff both behind the bar and the waitress service. Food presentation and taste very good. Good atmosphere. I would recommend it for couples or families. - It will be better when smoking is banned in all public bar areas though in February

Delightful People - Terrible Prices
Great setting, lovely garden, happy, friendly bar staff, even welcoming locals BUT very, very expensive food that on the day my family and I ate there wasn't at its best and terribly expensive drinks. Sadly, unless the prices come down to a realistic level, fewer people will visit which is an awful shame. Come on Land Lord, lower the prices and get more punters!

Lovely Village Pub/Restaurant
Excellent Pub/Restaurant in a picture post card setting. Friendly staff and a very welcoming atmosphere. Lovely food and a larger than average childrens outdoor play area.

Not too good
Lovely pub and location. Food very expensive, main food ok but rest not value for money. Heating had broken down and no indication of this. Been here before and I think this is last time.

What A Wonderful Pub
My husband and I stumbled upon this wonderful pub completely by chance one Sunday evening and immediately adored it. Set in a lovely, quintessentially English village we entered the pub with some trepidation as in our experience, attractive pubs can often be full of unattractive people, regulars hostile to visitors etc. What we found however was the friendliest most inclusive people perhaps we have ever encompassed. In particular, one long haired hunk, Micheal was it?, who did everything he could to put us at our ease. In fact, forget the friendly staff, excellent food and drink and wonderful setting, go just to spend time with this gorgeous and amusing man!

Good quality food & service, at reasonable prices
My wife and I eat regularly at the Crown and have always enjoyed our meals there.
The quality of the food is higher than the usual pub/restaurant, while the prices are reasonable. The service is also efficient but very friendly.
The only (minor) criticism I have is that we always drink bottled water (and wine!) with our meal but can never get English water, so have to drink Scottish water instead. I believe this refusal to stock English water is due to the brewer, Greene King.
