Went to the ferry boat to have a game of snooker only be told we couldn't because we have a 9 month old very quiet baby not that there was any body else in the snooker room for him to upset or for that matter any one else in the pub I think there was more bar staff than customers absolute crap

I have just had a completeley wasted evening in this 'establishment' to celebrate my 30th birthday. I arrived at 8.30pm, in smart but casual attire, the doormen both let me in with no comment - 1 of whom I have encountered in different environments too. At 10.30pm, I was advised my 'attire was not suitable for the establishment, you can stay but only outside'. Fair enough, I didn`t want too much hassle, I`d had a couple of drinks and didn`t want to get into an argument. at 11pm, desperate to use the gents I asked the same doorman who had asked me to drink outside if this was okay, he told me to '** off and go on the beach!'. My immediate comment was that if I were caught by the police I would be charged with indecent exposure due to the seafront toilets being closed. His attitude then became even worse and he physically escorted me completely off the premises, nearly throwing me INTO the middle of the road and telling me' if you don`t f***g calm down i`ll throw you into that bush!!!' I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY!!!!! AVOID IT!!!! I, my family and my friends (of whom I have many) are, or should I say, were, 95% of the custom of this place. not......any........more!!!

Nice pub although having a bouncy castle that you have to pay £1 for 10 minutes is a bit rubbish! £1 for 30mins/hr would be better but looking at the people that run the bouncy castle I am not supprised. Pub staff were lovely!

Been to Tom Peppers twice, both times fsr too packed with people pushing and shoving, staff and customers rude, women being sick in the toilet, and with vomit all over the floor in the cubicle and outside. people should be ashamed of themselves. we had to get out of there.

Martello Inn Mick Clacton on Sea A beer at the bar and a meal
The bar person was absolutely appalling, my pint was put down, in a puddle of beer,ale running down the glass, there was on beer mats on the bar, I had to use the edge of the bar like a saucer to try to stop the drips going on my clothes. The pub was very clean including the toilet . I enjoyed my meal the beef was really lovely so was the veg,, although some of my potatoes were a little hard and under cooked. For the price I thought it was very good value, and the restaurant staff were very friendly and polite. I will visit again pity about the bar person.

A Great British Public House with a nice garden that has some childrens amusements. Serve's good beer at reasonable prices along with a selection of food which includes sandwiches to steak and chips. Highly recommended whether you are holidaying at the Orchards or just visiting Point Clear.

Queens Head Hotel John Gorgon Clacton on Sea Yes.
I too enjoy that waitress, she seems so sweet and innocent and her napkin folding skills are unsurpassed! the food here on the other hand is of average quality and the prices are quite steep. all in all a nice pub, but mainly because of the friendly, attractive staff.

I think tom peppers is a good pub overall in comparasion to others in clacton, just one thing what are those uniforms about, no wonder all the staff look unhappy, i would be having to wear a uniform that looks like im attending a funeral everyday. I do think though certain staff sould sort there attitude out though especially when u go into Fibbers, not only do u que but then your greated with someone that cant smile and can only say £5 please, a little bit of happiness goes a long way, maybe the till girl thinks she is above sitting on a till, who no's. but once your in the musics wicked and the drinks promotions are good, that makes up for the frosty reception. Please dont change the way you do things, just perhaps a few of the staff.

Red Lion Joe Blogg Clacton on Sea Wow
The Red Lion in St. Osyth is by far one of the few pubs i've visited and felt comfortable in. You go in and everyone acts as if they know you. Polite landlords with great personalities. There is a wide range of facilities inc. Resturant: smoking or non-smoking, pool room, loung bar, front bar, car parking and garden area, which i have been told, great events go on in the summer hear. It is open all year round and every month there is a new event going on. Thanks Red Lion of St.Osyth.

I think this place is pretty lackluster, I can't say I enjoyed it at all. The service was attrocious and I feel that the staff were making fun of me just because I am a transexual. I like to wear woman's clothing at times so please don't judge.
